Educators, care givers, parents and kids need to bookmark a new website called Alphabet Coloring. Don’t let the simplicity of the name fool you. This website offers free access to hundreds of alphabet pages to print and color. From large block letters for the beginner to a selection of artistic fonts for the avid coloring fan, the assortment of fifteen alphabet sets will not disappoint. Educators will be pleased to find both uppercase and lowercase letters for their preschool, kindergarten and primary grade students.

In addition to the printable alphabet coloring pages, there are also online alphabet games and activities. Preschool and elementary school age children will find online coloring pages as well. A color palette is displayed along with each letter, and the student uses the cursor as a paintbrush. There are also jigsaw puzzle games featuring alphabet letters. The letter pictures feature objects that begin with said letter, and as the student finds the correct piece, it locks into place. Even the youngest child can manipulate the mouse and solve the puzzle successfully. Parents of young children will enjoy the color alphabet flip books found on this website. The sound of turning pages and colorful images will certainly capture a child’s interest.

Barbara J. Feldman, author and creator of AlphabetColoring.net, said, “Coloring is an important developmental skill, and besides that, it’s so much fun! What better way to reinforce the ABCs then with an enjoyable batch of coloring sheets and alphabetic symbols such as alligators, arms, ants, avocados, and apples.” Education is a common theme among many of her kid-friendly websites, the newest of which is AlphabetColoring.net.

Modern technology takes the timeless pleasure of coloring to a new level. All of the coloring pages, from the simple block letters to the ornamental and detailed fonts, are available for free download in PDF format. Or, for $3, save a bunch of time by purchasing and downloading a complete alphabet. Teachers, parents and coloring fans of all ages will find the website to be an excellent resource.
